News and updates
When we started the Magic Utilities more than a decade ago our goal was to support any Windows version from Windows 7 upwards and we did for many years.
Things have changed. We already stopped new features for Windows 7+8.x. With Windows 11, Microsoft dropped 32bit support all together.
We did some statistical analysis and found that less than 0.1% of our sales are for any Windows 32bit version, that's less than 1 in 1000.
As building testing, building and signing 32bit drivers is a time consuming task, we decided to discontinue Windows 10 - 32bit support sometime mid 2022.
This means older Windows 10 - 32bit versions will still be available for download and installation, but they do not get any further updates.
This is a major maintenance and new features release for the all Magic Utilities apps.
It's based on former version 184.108.40.206 BETA but with additional fixes and features.
This is the same as version 220.127.116.11 with a major bugfix for all Magic Utilities apps.
Fixed license expiry when the time zone was changed. Apologies to all users who have been affected!
Update to version 18.104.22.168 to fix this issue.

This is mainly a maintenance release for the Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad apps.
Also adds a new feature to the large Magic Keyboards with Numeric Keypad.
Wow, it's already almost Christmas again. Another year with unexpected turns. The Magic Utilities 3 have now been released for more than 3 years.
In 2021 we had a long beta phase, partly because Windows 11 was causing silent random crashes. This has now been fix and version 22.214.171.124 the the latest stable release with lots of new features, to name a few:
- Battery saver
- Support for the three new Magic Keyboards.
- Double tap to drag.
Behind the scenes we added a CDN so our website and your downloads are fast wherever you come from.
Thank YOU for your continuous support of the Magic Utilities and for all your fantastic ideas on how to make the Magic Utilities better.
Have a merry Christmas and a great new year 2022.
Once again: Stay safe!
Finally version 126.96.36.199 is running quite smooth, so it has been released to the auto-update STABLE channel..
The Magic Keyboard Layouts - Version 1.15 have been released.
Added missing | character to right alt + ' § on Norwegian layout.
Today Apple released the new Magic Keyboards with (and without) Touch ID to the public. You can buy them now individually in the Apple store (in silver only). There is also a newer version of the Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad (now named without the 2).
The new Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad are technically the same as the previous models, so they are already supported by the Magic Utilities.
The new Magic Keyboards will require some changes. We already have implemented support for all new Magic Keyboards but could test it only with the small Magic Keyboard with Touch ID. The other two models should arrive for testing next week. Once tested we'll release version 188.8.131.52 of the Magic Utilities.
Don't expect that the Touch ID sensor will work on Windows, that's almost impossible since there is no documentation and the fingerprint data is encrypted. Only the newer M1 Mac computers on macOS will be able to decrypt and use that fingerprint data.
However, the key press (or better button press) that comes within the Touch ID sensor will be supported.
